The comic and the talent manager Ogi Diaz reached out to followers of former President Rodrigo Duterte with a request to pray for his well-being, rather than engage in online fights or attack celebrities. Duterte is currently under protection in The Hague, Netherlands, where he faces allegations of crimes against humanity before the International Criminal Court (ICC). In an Instagram Story published on Thursday, March 13, Diaz shared his thoughts: "I prayed for the former president, hoping that he is in safety and in good conditions in the Netherlands." He urged his followers to do the same, and not to engage in social media spats. Diaz also mentioned recent attacks on celebrities Kim Chiu and Vhong Navarro, whose statements in 'It's Showtime' were misinterpreted as a dig at Duterte. He noted that they simply read scripts; there was no malice towards him. He concluded, underscoring that Duterte needs prayers first and not baseless allegations. "There should be prayers and blessings," he added.
