Recently, a guest at a hotel on the beach in Holland was astonished when he opened the door to his room and discovered an unexpected visitor - a large gray seal that had fallen deeply asleep on the floor. Hotel staff in Flissingen (southern Holland) were surprised by this incident and immediately connected with the animal protection association.
The association, in turn, reported that clients appeared tense when they saw the seal inside the room, at the time when the seal was peacefully sleeping. The animal, found inside the room, had been disturbed from its sleep due to the disruption of its rest and was moved to a special box, after which it was released into a safe and quiet place.
The association warned that, regardless of their species, seals could become aggressive and bite if they felt threatened. Hotel employee Valentin Damen commented on the incident, saying: "It seems that you have seen everything, and then something similar happens."
He added: "Today also coincides with its birthday, so I thought it was a nice gift."
