Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen feels "very relaxed" despite speculation about his future with Red Bull. However, he acknowledged that there is frustration within the team after the 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix.
Verstappen finished sixth in Bahrain due to brake issues and complications during pit stops. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko expressed concerns about Verstappen's future with the team if he is not in the title fight.
In this regard, Verstappen admitted to the widespread frustration within Red Bull and mentioned that everyone in the team was unhappy with the result and the problems during the race. There were reports of a discussion between his manager, Raymond Vermeulen, and Marko after the race.
Verstappen also mentioned that Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was involved in these conversations and highlighted that the 2025 season has been challenging for the team, with changes in the second seat and additional pressure for results.
Despite rumors suggesting that Verstappen might leave Red Bull and that he even has a supposedly "unmatched" offer from Aston Martin, the driver has remained focused on his performance and working with his current team. Born in Belgium but competing under the Dutch flag, Max Verstappen became the youngest debutant in F1 history in 2015.
Since then, he has won multiple championships and established himself as one of the best drivers of his generation. His current focus is on improving his performance and supporting his team to achieve better results in the upcoming races.
