Dutch Seismologist Predicts Earthquake in Peru

Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets published a photo of a rare planetary alignment and predicted a major earthquake on Peru's coast, despite criticism from the scientific community.

Dutch Seismologist Predicts Earthquake in Peru

Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets posted an image last night showing several planets, including Venus, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter, aligning and conjoining with Earth, the Sun, and the Moon. He pointed out that this is the planetary geometry that will be visible in space this Sunday, January 18. His recent forecasts about a potentially devastating earthquake in early 2026 have sparked widespread debate and concern on social media. Despite continuous attacks from geologists and astronomers, Hoogerbeets insists on his theory, which links planetary movements and their relationship with Earth to seismic activity. He termed this 'planetary geometry' and its impact on our planet. In a post last night, Hoogerbeets predicted that Peru's coast might experience a major earthquake in the near future, possibly reaching a magnitude of 8. He added that major earthquakes (magnitude 7) in recent years have primarily occurred in South America, mainly under Peru and Ecuador, leading to increased pressure in the coastal region. In a previous post, Hoogerbeets marked planetary conjunctions with different colors, with some in red to indicate the danger of such celestial geometry or the high likelihood of its impact on Earth, such as the conjunction of Earth, Mercury, and Mars, as well as Mercury, the Sun, and Jupiter. Scientists reject the controversial theories of the Dutch researcher, considering them unscientific, and assert that there is no relationship between planets and seismic activity on Earth, and that this is still considered impossible.
