The Dutch club stated in a press release that Maximilian Ibrahimović has joined Ajax on loan from AC Milan until the end of the season, with the contract including a buyout option. Ajax's sporting director, Marin Boer, said he will start playing with the under-23 team, and that 'he will regularly switch between the Ajax under-23 team and the first team during the season'. Zlatan Ibrahimović moved from Swedish club Malmö to Dutch Ajax in 2001, winning the Dutch league title twice and the Dutch Cup once. Ibrahimović played for Ajax until 2004, when he transferred to Juventus.
