The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement (Europol) announced on Friday the arrest of at least 25 individuals on charges of distributing materials that constitute
According to Europol, the operation was named "Timeline" and targeted criminal groups involved in child pornography. Most of the arrests took place in countries of the Eurozone, but there are also suspects from other parts of the world.
A member of the Europol team noted: "Children must be protected from exploitation, and victims of child pornography must know that we will not stop until everyone involved in these horrific crimes is brought to justice."
The Timeline operation continues, and it is expected that the number of arrests may increase as the investigation develops.
